1980-ish ranch home needs help

I hope you can help me. We are looking to repaint the exterior, including shutters, trim, doors. I do not have a picture of the back, but it is very nondescript - all the same paneling (no brick) with a bit of gray concrete block foundation showing at the bottoms. The garage door is the same brown as the gutters/soffits. The current color of the siding seems to more or less match the grout between the brick. The lightest colors the brick are sort of a light sand color, and sort of a pinky-beige. We have a very shaded lot and it all just looks very "blah" and brown to me as is. I would really like to try to brighten things up? I also wondered about utilizing some contrasting color on the woodwork in the "dead" areas that is now painted all the same color - like the chimney front and the side of the house, but I don't know if that would end up looking too busy or folksy. I don't think we would want to paint the brick itself. For the most part the surrounding houses are all varying shades of beige, gray, white, brown, some blues with brick, like ours - pretty sedate neighborhood. We will be looking to replace the roof eventually with a lighter color, maybe gray - it is currently a faded brown, a bit lighter than the gutters. This is really daunting - any advice would be appreciated!

Just freshen up the look with a few changes like this (Sherwin Williams colors):

6141 Softer Tan- siding and eaves

7048 Urbane Bronze- Shutters, fascia, gutters, and trim around the windows without shutters, and deck railing

     6356 Copper Mountain- Front door

Just a soft update, you'll love the warm coppery door color and softer neutral tones. Always test the colors on your home to make sure you're happy before your paint!

Thank you so much. I tried the combo out on the SW visualizer and I do like it. I will definitely get some samples and give it a try. Just one question...the garage door (which you don't have a picture of) matches trim, or front door?

It's hard to say without seeing it.
