First let me say how excited I am to finally get approved o this site... I have read every response you have made to peoples questions and you always have the best ideas!!!  I am at a loss with my house and hoping you can help.. We have redone the inside completely and are planning an addition to the house in the back... but before we do that we want to get an idea of a "look" for the house.

There are some planned changes made to the house that are not reflected in the picture below.  1. I am pulling down the wrought iron post and replacing with stocky 6"x6" posts (should I stain or paint?), wood beadboard ceiling on the porch (should I stain or paint?), possibly adding wood decking to the entire front porch to add more cohesiveness to the design, a new craftsman style planter box(color?),  new storm door (color?) with full glass to show off front door, and all new landscaping ( I pulled it all up to start over clean). 

 Now my wife is adamant about not painting brick... and the aluminum trim is cream color not sure if that can be painted or not..

We were thinking of a mustard color door or something that pops... we love earth tones... but have no idea where to go with this.. thanks soo much!!!
